NRA Instructor: Rick Hansen
Rick is a motivational speaker and engaging instructor. He is involved in instructing several different classes including our own First Steps class, CCW class and advanced CCW class. He also instructs with the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) competition.
“If I had followed my heart instead of my head when attending college, I would be in a classroom somewhere, at the time I didn’t see the dollars and sense. Now I very much enjoy the opportunity to help aid in the individual’s personal protection and I thank you for allowing me to do something I enjoy.”

NRA Instructor: Chris Hollis
Chris Hollis is a full time Psychology student at GVSU. Chris is an energetic instructor for the First Steps, CCW and Advanced CCW classes. Chris provides combat experience and is a veteran and has served over seas as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Chris is still serving on active reserve with The Marine Corps, Aco 1/24 Head Quarters element stationed in Grand Rapids MI.

NRA Instructor: Rick Bruner
With a passion for Muzzle Loading and the demeanor of a professor, Rick provides the student with a very broad knowledge base. As a certified Range Safety Officer for the NRA to IDPA, Rick is meticulous in his safety standards. Safety is always paramount in his presentation and instruction. Rick was a teacher for many years as well as a Paramedic. This enables him to be fluent in any environment and appear very approachable as an instructor. Rick is an instructor for our CCW and First Steps classes.

NRA Instructor: Mike Visser
Mike is the resident expert on personal defense rounds and hand gun ballistics. Mike instructs the First Steps, CCW, and Advanced CCW classes. Mike also provides our customers with Private Instruction by appointment. Mike is an NRA Certified Instructor, NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, and a graduate of the Lethal Force Institute LFI-1 w/ Massad Ayood. Mike has completed R.A.C.S Training w/ Lt. Dave Spaulding and Sgt. Charles Humes, Jr, and I.C.E. Combat Focus Shooting w/ Rob Pincus. An avid IDPA competitor, Safety Officer, and Assistant Match Director at the South Kent Sportsman's Club.

NRA Instructor: Jeff TerMolen
Jeff is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys being outdoors whatever the activity. He brings a unique perspective to the classes as not only a saleman but also as a former sales rep within the industry. He focuses on the practical application of carrying a pistol concealed. He teaches the First Steps and CCW classes.
